Does anyone have any information regarding the candidates standing for the Walford Parish Council Election and the Election of Councillors to Herefordshire Council? Or can someone direct me to the correct place to look for information?
We have received a leaflet for the Conservative Party but from no one else. How are we meant to elect the correct people to represent Walford when we have no idea what they stand for and no information on their skills and abilities. Thank you.
Details of all the candidates and their proposers and seconders are published on the main page of the council’s website.
Parish Councils are not ‘political’ as such so you may not expect candidates to canvass for votes. Candidates for Herefordshire Council you might expect to issue an election address but again it is their choice whether to do so or not.
Hi Barbara, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Upon investigation the problem with the contact form requires technical support from the website provider in the mean time we have implemented an alternative means of emailing the clerk directly.
Dear Bob have used your alternative means of contacting clerk but to no avail.As my query was a bit confrontational it would appear rhe clerk has censored my query.

The capacity of the team is unable to keep up with the volume of correspondence and we will be addressing this to the NDP committee on 10th Feb and hope to reply soon after that. The answer to your previous question has been sent.

I thought that I would let everyone who lives in Walford know about a fantastic new service now provided by Herefordshire Libraries. Anyone who is a current library member, or if you are not a member you can join easily – it only takes a couple of minutes online, you can access a wealth of magazines, newspapers and ebooks COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE. All the information is on the Herefordshire Council website

Hi Elizabeth, I have had a response from the Trustees of Walford Village Hall. They are going to get their maintenance man to check and reset the timers on the Halls external lighting.

Where is the Church News? Looking for Bishopswood church services.
Hello Sheila, thank you for you enquiry. All Services and Events are shown on the CALENDAR page. You can make it easier to find by selecting the “Church Services/Events” from the CATAGORIES drop down at the top of the CALENDAR page.
Unfortunately at the moment the only Bishopswood service that is on the calendar for 2020 is the one following breakfast at the village hall. Others will be added as soon as they are available.
