Accessibility
We are continually improving our information provision and the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards. Our website has been updated to be compatible with:
- Mobile Phones
- PC and Mac Computers
- All Tablet devices
- All known Browsers
- Screen Readers
In addition we now have an accessibility menu (button on the top right of the screen) that enables screen readers, large text, high contrast text, navigation without a mouse and more to be used.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Walford Parish Council is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
