Minutes of Finance Committee Meeting
Held online – Wednesday 2nd June 2021 at 7:30pm
Present: Councillors: Chinn, Akers, Drummond, Cole, Evans, Whelan In attendance: D Berry (Clerk)
1. Election of Chair: – Councillor Chinn proposed by Cllr Akers, 2nd Cllr Drummond – unanimous vote
2. Apologies for absence: – None
3. Declarations of interest and written requests for dispensation: – none
4. Adoption of Minutes of previous meeting: – resolved to adopt the minutes of the meeting held on 7th April 2021 as a true and accurate record
5. Public participation session: – none
6. Financial information: –
6.1 Resolved to approve the bank statements and reconciliation for April & May 2021, councillor Whelan signed the statements
6.2 Switching bank accounts has not yet been finalised. Councillor van Lienden wished to be removed as a bank signatory [signatories are Cllrs Drummond, Chinn, Akers, Evans]
6.3 Risk register to be deferred to the next meeting
7. Payments: –
7.1 Resolved to approve the payments as per Appendix 3
7.2 Resolved to ratify the payments on Appendix 3
7.3 Resolved to approve the Clerk’s 18 hours overtime for April/May 2021
8. Year End accounts: – statement was presented for discussion [21/22 period accounts to be presented at the next meeting]
9. Preparation for audit: –
9.1 Finalisation of internal audit and AGAR for approval at the next WPC meeting
9.2 Resolved Notice of public rights viewing from 1st July to 11th August Mon – Fri between 9am and 3pm by appointment. To be posted on the website and notice boards.
10. Insurance review: – Policies are up to date and will be reviewed regularly against the risk register
11. Phoenix Meadow: – Resolved to obtain fencing quotations
